Stephen Bennett, a 59-year-old national speaker, author, preacher, teacher, and Christian recording artist, has been impacting Bible-believing, preaching congregations and audiences nationwide for more than 16 years with his moving story of deliverance by Jesus Christ from a controversial issue that is changing the face of this nation and world: homosexuality.

By God’s grace, millions worldwide have heard, seen, or read Stephen Bennett’s Holy Spirit filled testimony. Stephen is a man who once identified and lived as a homosexual man until he was 28 years old, and was sexually involved with more than 100 male partners, many whom are dead today from HIV/AIDS. As a drug addict, cocaine dealer, alcoholic, and bulimic, Stephen was considered a ‘reprobate’ by many Christians. Finally, Stephen was in love with and in a long-term, committed same-sex relationship with another man, who he thought would be his partner for life. Yet his journey and process of change began one day in 1990 when a Christian woman — Stephen’s friend Kathy— who refused to give up on him — showed up at his door with a Bible in her hand and shared with him the life-changing, soul-saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Today, by God’s grace alone, Stephen Bennett is completely free from his former homosexual lifestyle. He is one of countless men and women worldwide who have made the choice to change — and successfully so, to become the real men and women they believe they were created to be. Stephen has been happily married since 1993 (22 years) to his beautiful wife, Irene, who knew him when he was single and homosexual — and never stopped praying for his salvation.

Stephen and Irene are the proud parents of two now young adults, a boy (15) and a girl (17). Now, as a family, the Bennetts have dedicated the past 16 years of their lives and have been called by the Lord to the front lines of this nation’s largest mission field — addressing controversial issues few would even dare to address: homosexuality and transgenderism.

Many churches have closed their doors to an issue they consider to be ‘political.’ This issue is not a political one by ANY means, but a moral and biblical one. Many churches are either ill-equipped to deal with the issues of homosexuality and transgenderism, or they truly don’t understand them or are afraid to discuss them with their congregation. Stephen Bennett honors and respects those congregations which take a more conservative approach to worship music and offers music suitable for all churches (ie., piano only.) Stephen Bennett is a powerful preacher and has many eye-opening, biblical messages on the issue of homosexuality and the life-changing power in Jesus Christ. From “Homosexuality & the Bible: What Does God Say?” to “And Such Were Some of You,” your congregation will never again look at the issue of homosexuality and transgenderism in the same way. Stephen prefers to use the Authorized King James Version of the Bible (KJV) when preaching. An altar call is always given by either Stephen or the Pastor at the end of the service.
